PreSERVE COALITION

What We Do

ADDRESSING HEALTH DISPARITIES

PreSERVE Coalition aims to address and reduce health disparities that impact high blood pressure, diabetes, dementia and other conditions that impact brain health. We believe in the healthy affirmation that celebrating the vitality of Black/African American culture brings to mind, body, and spirit.

ENGAGING BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICANS

We achieve our aims by engaging older Black/African Americans in the Pacific Northwest through learning, socialization, exercise, healthy eating, and the expressive arts.

We invite you to explore this site to learn about how PreSERVE Coalition supports brain health through our rich and meaningful community activities.

INTERESTED IN JOINING PRESERVE?

PreSERVE Coalition meets on the second Wednesday of the month in North Portland.

During these monthly meetings, we plan events and brainstorm ways to serve older Black adults in areas of healthy-aging-education and activities. We also review researcher requests for collaboration.

We always welcome new members.

Join one of our monthly meetings or attend one of our upcoming events.

SAFE SPACE STATEMENT

At PreSERVE Coalition, we believe that every voice deserves to be heard. That's why we have taken the pledge to create a safe and non-judgmental space for everyone attending our events and meetings.

Our commitment to fostering an environment of trust, cooperation, and understanding is what sets us apart. We invite you to join us in creating a community where every idea is valued and every person is respected.
